Heart of Purple (Purple Heart Ring)

Description

Heart of Purple is a purple heart ring featuring a metal core and purple heart wood. Purple heart is an exotic hardwood with a purple hue, particularly when exposed to sunlight or heat.

We heat treat each of the purple heart wood rings to bring out as much of the purple hue as possible before sanding and polishing the ring to a glossy shine.

The core is a titanium comfort fit. A comfort fit is slightly domed, making the ring feel nicer when wearing it and allowing it to be more easily put on and taken off.

The ring’s total width is about 7mm.

Sizing recommendations: 

Due to the nature of the design, these rings cannot be resized once made.

You can use a string and ruler, a printable tool, or a ring measuring tool that you can order online to get at least a good idea of your ring size.

When measuring your finger, it is a good idea to take at least 3 measurements at different times of day so you get a good idea of just how large your finger is. You can then use the average of the three measurements to get a pretty accurate idea of your ring size.

Please note:

These rings are hand-made to order. Each one will have a unique pattern and design based on grain of the purple heart and how much of the purple comes out when heat treated.

Caring for Heart of Purple (Purple Heart Ring)

You can wear Heart of Purple during most activities, though you may want to consider taking it off when swimming or submerging your hands in water for long hours or if you are doing any activity that puts stress on your hands.

Make sure to remove your ring before sleeping. If you are not wearing it, store it in a generally dry room, like your bedroom.

If you work with chemicals, similar to acetone (nail polish remover), you may want to take your sea glass ring off to avoid damaging the finish.
